Horse & Hiking Trails
High Point Park
Lake Proctor
The map is just a general guide, it is not an exact map of all the trails.  For example, the long trail going towards the top of the map has several offshoots that lead away from the trail and circle back to the trail.  It would be impossible to try and add the offshoots with any degree of accuracy. The offshoots will all lead back to the main trail, they are just there to add variety to the trails.  Also we are continuing to add trail all the time so there will be some trails that are currently not on the map.  Currently there are approximately 14-18 miles of trails available.  There is a water trough by the restrooms and a water trough in overnight camping area.  Water can also be accessed on the trail in some spots by going to the lake, but be careful as sometimes the footing can be very boggy (as in quicksand, up to the hocks boggy) depending on the part of the trail you are on.  ***Clarification - There is NO quicksand anywhere on the established trails, just if you leave the trail to try and water your horse.***  The one safe place to water your horse on the out and back trail is at Foley's Crossing boat ramp.

If you have any questions about the trails, please feel free to contact us, you can contact us either by phone 325-356-3355 or by email conway_vet@hotmail.com .  However, due to time constraints and internet availability, we really would prefer that you call us.  We will usually be able to get back to you the same day you call, whereas with email it may be up to two weeks or more before we can get a reply out to you.
